EASLEY, SC — June 21, 2006 — Computer Software Innovations, Inc. (CSI) (OTCBB:CSWI.OB) has recently been selected by Rock Hill School District Three, South Carolina to deploy CSI’s Interactive Classroom Solution to more than 160 classrooms in 23 schools for the 2006-07 school year.
The CSI Interactive Classroom Solution, which includes the Promethean ACTIVboard interactive whiteboard and the ACTIVslate wireless slate, is a fully integrated solution developed to help teachers engage their students and improve the students understanding of the curriculum. Included with the ACTIVboard is the Promethean ACTIVstudio software and ACTIVprimary lesson development software. Additional products such as HP Projectors, and HP Laptop Computers were included in the implementation for digital imaging and mobility. The District has also selected PhonicEar, a supplier of high-quality wireless listening devices, to enhance and improve classroom audio and to aid in the instruction of hearing impaired students.
Teachers included in the project volunteered for a two week in-depth training session during the summer to provide insight and a helping hand in steps to integrate the technology with their curriculum and lesson plans.
“We are very excited about all the possibilities and new ways of engaging students,” stated Dr. Lynn P. Moody, Associate Superintendent of Planning and Program Support. “We believe our digital native students will actually help our teachers’ find ways to learn the curriculum objectives in a way that will be meaningful, relevant, and promote active hands-on learning. We are hopeful that these new technology tools will help teachers to design work which meets diverse student’s needs.” |
