Thomaston-Upson School System Joins the CSI Family
|
Easley, SC: August 25, 2008 — Computer Software Innovations, Inc. (“CSI”) (OTCBB: CSWI.OB) announces that Thomaston-Upson School System, Georgia has selected CSI as their new financial management and school activities accounting software provider.
One of the main catalysts for the District’s purchase of CSI’s Accounting +Plus software was the need for a school activities accounting package. Sharon Craft, Finance Director for Thomaston-Upson explained, “When our schools began investigating the purchase of school activities software, I knew running the same software at the district level would help us provide better accountability within the district.” Because CSI offers a flexible suite of software that can be used at the district and school levels, the purchase “made sense from a budgetary perspective,” stated Craft.
With the implementation of CSI, the School System also hopes to see major improvements in functionality for their Human Resources department. Craft is particularly excited about CSI’s Employee Self Service solution. “Not only will our employees benefit from the convenience of securely accessing records online, but we expect to see increased efficiency within the department.”
The purchase of CSI software continues to build on a relationship that previously existed between the School System and CSI. Earlier this year, CSI’s engineering department worked on the District’s network infrastructure and helped them to resolve issues with their existing finance server. According to Craft, working with CSI’s engineers, who were “knowledgeable and friendly,” made the School System feel comfortable about extending their relationship with CSI.
