Easley, SC: May 18, 2009 - Computer Software Innovations, Inc. (OTCBB: CSWI.OB) announced today that it has been awarded the contract to provide its SmartFusion® accounting software to the Edgefield County Senior Citizen Council (ECSCC). This is the first CSI project that has been approved using funds from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA).
Since the Council coordinates with the South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) to provide public transportation for senior citizens in rural Edgefield County, the Council was given the opportunity to submit applications for the use of the SCDOT’s funds from the ARRA. The ECSSC was motivated to pursue the funding because of an earlier recommendation from the SCDOT for the ECSSC to purchase a more robust financial management software suite. James Griffith, Director of ECSSC, explained that the Council’s previous accounting software system “did not possess the checks and balances that we needed. We chose to purchase CSI’s software because the software gives us the ability to get the reports my organization needs on a daily basis.” |
